Thank you for visiting our blog!
Halloween has come and gone and we are already thinking about all the exciting things coming up this holiday season!
As a small business owner, I get countless emails, calls and visits from people asking for donations. Although it would be amazing to be able to help everyone in need, it isn't realistic. While we were still a fairly new business, Judi Taggart approached us and told us about Greater Lakes Region Children's Auction and her team, Tagg Team. This is definitely a cause that stuck out to us and we simply couldn't say no. We joined her team in 2016 and started raising money right away! It was an amazing way to get involved in the community, meet new people, and raise money for local children who are in need.
The highlight of this organization is definitely the Pub Mania event held each December at Patrick's Pub. It's a 24 hour bar stool challenge with the sole purpose of raising money for the Greater Lakes Region Children's Auction. The 24 hour bar stool challenge is simple. One member from Tagg Team will occupy our bar stool for the entire 24 hours the event is going on, along with 31 other teams.. Everyone has a one hour shift they commit to - but we usually stick around longer than that because why not!
Prior to Pub Mania, Nahamsha Gifts is raising money this year by selling donation ornaments in the store. The ornaments are located on our counter and come in $1, $5 and $10 denominations. After purchasing an ornament, you can write your name on it if you wish and we will hang them around the store to decorate! All proceeds from these ornaments go straight to the cause.
We created a page on Firstgiving to allow those who aren't able to visit our store to still take part and make a donation online. Click here to go to our page and make a donation. No donation is too small!
