5 Wicked Awesome Facts We Learned From Our Customers!

September 10, 2017

Thank you for making our first summer season here a blast!

It has now been 4 months since we opened our doors, and we’ve been loving every minute of it! Everyone seems to walk through the store with a huge smile on their face, laughing at all the humorous products everywhere they look. Despite how much time I spend in the store, I can’t help but to be amused alongside everyone as they see everything for the first time. People start dropping their “R’s” and throwing “wicked” in their sentences as much as they can and it’s so funny to hear. It takes a lot of people back to their roots, which is what we’re all about! Over the course of the summer, we have learned a lot about our customers and have put together a list of the favorites to share with you all. So here is our list, titled “5 wicked awesome facts we have learned from our customers!”

1. “Nahamsha” can be a tricky word to figure out at first.

The name of our store, “Nahamsha Gifts”, has quite a few people confused when they first see the sign outside the building. However, people kinda of shrug it off and start walking through the store anyways. Then people start noticing that there are a ton of shirts, hats and accessories with that word “Nahamsha” on it and they feel like they’re missing something. They start trying to figure it out themselves and get a little frustrated. Meanwhile, I’m standing behind the counter giggling a little inside waiting for it to click. Some people get it right away, some people get it once they say it out loud, and some people turn to me for help as their last resort. Depending on my mood, I’ll either tell them it actually means “New Hampshire” or sometimes I’ll make them say “Nahamsha” over and over again until they get it. No matter how they figure it out, it always an enjoyable experience for everyone involved.

2. Our customers are “wicked smaaht” and they know it!

Some of our most popular items come from our “wicked smaaht” collection.  We first brought these products in during graduation season, thinking they would be the perfect gift for someone headed off to college. However, it wasn’t long until we realized it’s more than just recent grads who deserve to be wicked smaaht! We actually have more people buying the “wicked smaaht” tee for themselves than to give away as gifts. If your shirt says you’re wicked smaaht, it must be true! Confidence is definitely key, and we love seeing our customers rock this wicked awesome shirt around.

3. People in New Hampshire love beer.

Like any other business, we like to connect with our customers so we can have a better idea of what exactly people are looking for. A common theme we’ve been hearing and that seems to spark people’s interest is “beer”. With that being said, we have brought in many beer-lover products over the course of the summer including hoodies with a built in coozie and shirts with a built in bottle opener. We have also been getting creative and most recently brought in hats and sunglasses with built in bottle openers as well! These types of products aren’t only fashionable but super convenient and quite the conversation starter! If you want to be the star of any tailgate party, you might want to check these products out.

4. Not everyone is a Patriots fan (hard to believe, right?!)

Being a New England themed gift shop, it’s only right that we support our unstoppable sports teams! While 90% of our customers love our products that feature the good ole “Patriots Moose” logo, we have a solid 10% that like to mention that their own team is superior. I don’t know if their trying to convert me to switch teams, but it’s definitely never going to work. Once a Pats fan, always a Pats fan. I mean c’mon, the Patriots are OBVIOUSLY the best. And in addition to that, our customers from New York seem to have a problem with our onesie that says “The Yankees stink just like my diaper”. I don’t really see the problem, can someone please inform me?

5. It’s never too early to think about the holidays.

I’m the type of person who doesn’t really think about buying Christmas presents until December hits... but to my surprise, there are people out there that start their gift buying as early as May! Props to those people, they definitely deserve an award for being so on top of things. This store has those types of gifts that make people think “This would be PERFECT for cousin Jimmy”, because we have gifts that you probably won’t see anywhere else. We specialize in finding unique products to make you laugh. If you want a more stress-free holiday season, I definitely recommend taking a walk through Nahamsha Gifts to see if anything grabs your attention and will make someone happy on Christmas Day.

The last 4 months have been such a crazy but enjoyable experience at Nahamsha Gifts. We have met so many awesome people and we can’t thank you enough for being a part of this new journey we started. Everyone comes in such a good mood, and their smiles are so contagious. We hope you all had a fantastic summer and we look forward to seeing what the Fall has in store for us.
